The Seventh Round Table for the Triple I for Global Health

The 7th Round Table meeting among the Partners of "Impact Investment Initiative for Global Health (Triple I for GH)" took place on 18th November 2025

The Secretariat provided an update on Triple I for GH's progress, including increase in the number of partners and the launch of a new communication platform on Slack to share real-time updates related to Triple I and promote more dynamic communication and collaboration among Triple I partners.  

 

Next, the Secretariat outlined next steps related to Triple I's work IMM, including the public consultation on the Global Health Impact Measurement and Management Practitioner Guide , a deep dive into specific health topics, and pilot case studies to test the effectiveness of the Practitioner Guide.  

 

Next, Triple I partners shared their expectations for the initiative, offering valuable inputs such as holding more in-person events to better understand investment opportunities and available financial mechanisms. 

 

Then, two Triple I partners, namely EHA Impact Ventures and Save the Children Global Ventures, presented their respective efforts in impact investing in global health 

 

First, Ms. Evelyn Castle, CEO & Co-Founder, EHA Impact Ventures presented how they contribute to transforming health outcomes in Africa by supporting women-led small businesses. They invest their own capital through safes and revenue-based loans and provide mentorship. Ms. Castle also shared their impact metrics, where they look at both portfolio-level metrics and company-level metrics. After highlighting their portfolio success stories, Ms. Castle explained their nonprofit model, which uses returns from a U.S.-based ESG endowment to fund investments. 

 

Second, Mr. Paul Ronalds, CEO of Save the Children Global Ventures, introduced their work as the innovative financing arm of the international non-government organization, focused on crowding in private sector capital at scale. Mr. Ronalds highlighted their unique position as a fund manager leveraging their global platform and using the Child-lens Investing Framework developed with UNICEF. He then shared recent health investments, and emphasized opportunities in Southeast Asia, driven by child and mother market growth and increasing government interest. 

 

Following these presentations, group discussions were held in two groups. The first group focused on IMM challenges and next steps for the IMM Practitioner Guide, facilitated by Co-Chair Mr. Ken Shibusawa, and saw some valuable including the need for balancing simplicity and quality, as well as the need for fine-tuning health-related metrics. The second group explored building enabling environments and next steps for Triple I Policy Recommendations, facilitated by Co-Chair Mr. Steve Davis. Discussions included what Triple I can do as a partnership, including the possibility of segmenting partners to clarify their capacities and strengthening connections across topics, areas, and geographies.  

 

Overall, the Round Table meeting saw valuable exchanges of experiences and views to expand impact investment in global health sector
