Triple I for GH participated in the panel session at the Tech for Impact Summit 2025
On October 7, 2025, Triple I for GH conducted a panel session titled "Triple I for GH: Unlocking Universal Health Coverage through Impact-Driven Financing and Tech innovation" at the Tech for Impact Summit 2025*, organized by a Triple I for GH's partner Socious Inc.
Before the panel session, the Triple I for GH secretariat gave a presentation on the purpose of Triple I's establishment, its activities, and its achievements over the past two years.
The session was moderated by Mr. Ken Shibusawa, Triple I for GH Co-Chair. Panelists included representatives from Triple I for GH partners: Ms. Scarlett Chen, Managing Partner at Verge HealthTech Fund; Ms. Saeda Makimoto, Senior Deputy Director General at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA); and Mr. Shigeru Handa, Director at AAIC Investment.
The panelists collectively emphasized the importance of private sector involvement in impact investing, the need for cross-sectoral collaboration, and the compatibility of achieving both impact and economic return in the field of global health. The discussion also focused on the critical role of technology, such as AI and digital platforms, as an indispensable tool for delivering scalable solutions. However, panelists also pointed out that technology alone is insufficient, and on-the-ground connections and hybrid business models are important for real impact, particularly in LMICs.
*Tech for Impact Summit 2025, held in Tokyo on October 7, brought together over 2,000 participants, including investors, founders, and corporate leaders from around the world. Under the theme "Beyond Boundaries: Building 2050 Together," the event served as a platform for dialogue and collaboration, exploring how innovation across sectors--including technology, finance, and social impact--can accelerate progress toward a sustainable and inclusive future.
