Triple I Co-Chair, Ken Shibusawa, participated as a panelist in the AVPN Global Conference 2024
On Apr 24th, 2024, Triple I Co-Chair Ken Shibusawa attended the AVPN (Asian Venture Philanthropy Network) Global conference 2024* held in Abu Dhabi, UAE (Home | AVPN Global Conference 2024). He participated in a panel discussion entitled "Forging the Impact Investing Ecosystem and Navigating Emerging Trends".
Mr. Shibusawa introduced the Triple I for Global Health, explaining its mission mobilize private capital, scale impact investing, and improve global health outcomes, as well as the three pillars of Triple I, namely, (1)Expanding visibility and engagement of Triple I and Impact Investing to attract new forms of private sector investments into global health (2)Support the development of the impact investing field in global health by identifying best practices in impact metrics measurements and (3)Promoting the roles of governments and DFIs in expanding impact investing.
He highlighted his thought that impact investment for global health has a growth opportunity and global health is a strategy for a sustainable society globally.
In the panel, panelists shared first-hand accounts on what is impact investing, what are the drivers of innovation and how to foster collaboration.
*According to the AVPN, The event was attended by over 1,500 delegates and speakers from 46 markets across Asia and beyond, bringing together investors, philanthropists, corporations, policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and implementing organizations.
