Triple I for Global Health First meeting of Steering Committee

The inaugural meeting of the Triple I for Global Health Steering Committee took place on December 21st, 2023. The Triple I Co-Chairs, Ayoade Alakija, Ken Shibusawa, and Steve Davis, warmly welcomed their fellow Steering Committee Members. These panelists represented a wide range of global organizations, all of whom have extensive experience in global health intervention.

The members endorsed the three pillars proposed by the Co-Chairs for Triple I: expanding visibility and engagement of Triple I and impact investing, supporting the development of the impact investing field, and promoting the roles of governments and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) in expanding impact investing.

The committee encouraged an open discussion regarding the Triple I's activities and vision. Key topics discussed included the importance of de-risking and encouraging private investments, development of the reporting framework, as well as collaboration with G7/G20 and existing global health initiatives. The valuable insights provided by the members will help steer Triple I's future activities.

With the backing of the Steering Committee, the Triple I initiative aspires to advance its mission to mobilize private capital, scale impact investing, and improve global health outcomes.
